About these tools
Are these tools free?
Yes, all of them. There's no account to make and no limit on how often you use them.
Do you see what I type or upload?
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you type or upload is sent anywhere. There are two lookups, and neither goes through us. The Mastodon counter sends a server's name, and only that, straight to that server, to ask for its limit. The Bluesky best time tool sends a handle straight to Bluesky's public API, to read that account's public posts.
Why do these counts differ from other counters?
Most counters count every character as one. The networks don't. X charges 23 for any link and 2 for most emoji, Bluesky counts graphemes after shortening links, and a Mastodon limit depends on the server. These tools follow each network's own rules, and every page links to where those rules come from.
How do you keep the limits current?
Each rule is stored with its source and the day we last checked it, and every page shows both. When a network changes a limit, we change it in one place and every tool follows.
Can Shaflex do all of this inside the app?
Most of it. Shaflex is a social media scheduler, and in the app you write one draft and it makes a copy for each of Threads, X, Bluesky, Mastodon and LinkedIn: sized to that network's limit, split into a thread where it runs long and checked against its media rules. Then the copies are scheduled together. These tools are for a single post, or for checking a rule. The carousel, quote card and banner makers make images the app doesn't: Shaflex posts the images you attach, but it doesn't make them.
Write the next post once.
Shaflex fits it to Threads, X, Bluesky, Mastodon and LinkedIn, schedules it on your rhythm and brings the replies back to you.
